School Liaisons:

  • Inform and advise commanders and their staff.
  • Assist parents by providing information, making referrals, and educating and empowering families to navigate the education system.
  • Interface and collaborate with educators, superintendents, and on-base and off-base support services and community partners.

– At DoDEA Guam McCool Middle School in the south and Andersen Middle School in the north, new students who enroll after the start of the school year receive a tour and are paired with a student “buddy” assigned to orient the new student to the school.

School Liaison Directory

Interstate Compact for Educational Opportunities for Military Children  provides for uniform treatment of military children transferring between school districts and states. The compact covers topics such as enrollment, placement and attendance, eligibility, and graduation. DoDEA schools participate to the extent permissible by law.

Child Care/ Before and After School Activities:

Child and Youth Programs (on-base): Offers center-based and multi-age in-home child care for ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age, school-age before and after school programs and day camps for ages 5-12, and operates the youth and teen centers. Youth Sports Programs are available.
